Prasanna , Arun drives "The Karakallio Kawalis" to maiden SevenZer League Cricket Victory, 2020 Champions.

SevenZer League Cricket, the most unique and shortest format of cricket league, successfully accomplished its 7th edition on 29th August, 2020 at Helsinki- Finland. Sevenzer League organized by a Nepalese based registered cricket club;Nepal Cricket Club Ry, Finland - Everest 8848, accepts all the participation regardless of nationality boundaries. The name Sevenzer evolves from its unique format of the game which occupies 7 players and 7 overs innings. The corona pandemic propelled us to accept only 9 teams , we feel extremely sorry for the teams which couldn't make it to SLC2020. We will try to accomodate all the interested team in our next edition SLC2021.

Arun , Prasanna played thunderous innings in the final to beat Magnificinet7 by 4 wickets. Magnificient7(Runnerup_SLC2020), won the toss and elected to bat in the final . Harsh Rampal(Best Batsmen SLC2020) gave a lightining start to Magnificient 7, scoring 34 in just 16 balls before falling prey to Rajeevan. The rest batsmen couldn't click the batting paddle.

Arun's tremendous spell of 3 overs 4 wickets and Rajeevan's 2 overs 2 wickets dismantled Magnificient 7's batting order. The team finally managed to score a decent total of 77/6 in 7 overs.

Despite of GOLDEN_DUCK -Nishith(0),Karakallio- by Jagadeesh(magnificient) , the runner-up team couldn't marginalize their bowling strength. The Kawalis started steadily with Arun(19) and Ram(18) paving their path to maiden victory before Prasanna(33*) smashed the ball all over the ground. The Karakallio chased the target in just 4.3 overs to claim the title "SevenZer2020 Winners". Prasanna also won his team in the semis by hitting a 6 in the last ball against Everestcc. The Karakallio Kawalis were also awarded the "Most Disciplined/FairPlay Award". The team showcasing a true sportsmanship generally wins this award, there were also other teams , but Karakallio were top of them. The Karakallio were too good at field; a proper cricket attire; a true gentlemen spirit; whether batsmen leaving the crease before umpire giving him caught out or signalling a 6 by a boundry fielder; the team managed to collect appraisals from everyone.

The event was partly sponsored by our regular sponsor from the past few years- "Swedish People's Party", Byoma Tamrakar , a representative from the party was chief guest for the event distributing the prizes.
