Gopal 74*, Man of the Match , Deurali CC wins CHK by 5 Wickets.

Deurali CC is flying above  the sky, 2 straight wins in the SummerT20 League 2016,  is already establishing them as the Title Contender.  One more win will secure their place for the quarter final.

Gopal’s heroic innings pushed Deurali CC at the top of the table. Soukka, The Espoo cricketing ground, tagged as a high scoring venue witnessed a decent total on 4th June Saturday, when CHK won the toss and opted to BAT.  The dismissal of S.Annarasa in the second over weakened Cric Hunters Koivukylä with a score of 4/1 in 1.2 overs. Gopinath(25) and Maran(34) took the innings on their scalp for a while , Sixes from Maran looked like CHK is back with a bang  and a huge total is unforeseen.  The Gopi-Maran duo build a 62 runs partnership for the 2nd wicket.  The Gopi-Maran duo’s momentum was ambushed by Deurali captain Prasant , when the hard hitter Maran got hit –wicket  in 8.1 overs setting CHK a reasonable 66/2 score.  One over later, K Shubash propelled Gopinath to join his partner in the pavilion.

Subash’s maiden 2 wickets  in the 10th over further threatened CHK lower  order batters.  J Selva (20) and Sutarshan (12) were the only other batsmen to score double digits. Himal and Kiran both ended up with a superb bowling spell, the least economic bowler so far, each contributing just 15 runs in 4 overs claiming 2 wickets. Subash took 3 wickets in his spell of 3 overs whilst the captain Prasant finished with 2 wickets in his spell of 4 overs. Sanju conceded only 27 runs in his spell of 4 overs. CHK were all out for 136 in 19.1 overs.

The blistering 271 fever from previous game was still revolving around the Deuralians, which boosted up their batsmen despite 2 quick early wickets. A devastating score of Deurali cc 13/2 in 4 overs couldn’t just brake Gopal’s scoring momentum.

Gopal, the savior, whose 77 runs innings was shaded by Sanju’s 33 ball 115 in the first game, strikes back equally in this game too. Sutarshan’s fabulous spell of 3.1 overs 8 runs 1 wicket was tormented by Rajasalan’s expensive 1 over 31 runs, Gopal smashed 4 sixes in the same over.

Gopal‘s 61 ball 74 runs not out innings helped Deurali CC basket second win of the league. Sanju(23) and Kiran(31) were the other batsmen to have a double digit figure. Gopal’s sensational innings made the chase look ease, the celebration started when Gopal hits the first ball of the 19th over long way above the horizons for a handsome six.  Deurali chased the target in 18.1overs ,142/5.

Gopal was awarded MAN of the Match for his marvelous innings. Gopal (151) is 3 runs behind Maran (154) in the Batting Leaderboard til the date. Deurali cc will play against Rising Super Star on 18th June, 3.15pm, Finnish Time at Soukka.
